Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is an organic polymer consisting of aromatic rings linked with sulfides. PPS is formed by reaction of sodium sulfide with p-dichlorobenzene. It is high-performance thermoplastic. PPS can be molded, extruded, or machined to high tolerances. An easy way to identify the compound is by the metallic sound it makes when struck.

  • outstanding chemical resistance, thermal stability, dimensional stability and fire resistance.

  • It is receptive to high levels of glass and mineral fillers

  • It is virtually non-hygroscopic.

  • It's inherently flame resistant

  • Good antistatic / conductive electrical properties.
